FEATURED POST
Silver Linings

The COVID-19 pandemic will be remembered as a time of isolation and disconnection. However, being cut off from so many social relationships has opened up space for different forms of connection. In this podcast I explore how the pandemic has been a unique time of reconnection with nature and the environment around us. I've gone from spending my days in urban office and university buildings to working from the dock at my cottage. Even when in the city, I take 2-3 walks a day outside just to stay sane in social isolation. While it has been a ubiquitously trying time, I have found my silver lining. In the absence of my familiar social relationships, the birds that sing to me on my morning walk have become my companions, the hundred year old trees have become my support, and the breeze at my back pushes me forward through each day. In this podcast I explore this reconnection with nature, and how it has affected those around me, as well as myself.
